Secondly, the humor is starting to get a little tired- Murderbot has a wonderful personality and dark sense of humor (and the story is told in the first person), but the jokes are getting predictable about now. Being a full length novel, the story is more complicated and convoluted, and I found some of it difficult to follow compared to the earlier novellas.

I have some praise and some criticisms of the book. Murderbot has to take control of the ship, protect its Preservation clients, restore ART, and then try to unwind what the hell happened and who these aliens are. The conscious part of ART has actually been deleted/killed and there are Bad Aliens on board with unclear motives. After a short prologue in which Murderbot protects the Preservation crew on a mission, he and the crew are kidnapped on their return, shockingly, but Murderbot's ship friend, ART (Asshole Research Transport), and brought to a system in the Corporate Rim where there have been two failed colonies started. This is the 5th book in the Murderbot series and the first full length novel.
